The vineyards if Pichon Baron are those located alongside of Latour benefitting from exceptional terroir and proximity to the Gironde river. Covering 73 hectares in total, the estate’s vineyards are planted to 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Vineyard parcels are managed separately and the most prized area of vines – the “Butte de Pichon Baron”- is reserved for the Grand Vin. A methuselah of Château Pichon Longueville Baron 1996 is a rare find and will be a great addition to any wine collection.
